The umbrella Northern socio-political organisation, the Arewa Consultative Forum on Thursday in Kaduna said it was prepared to collaborate with the Federal Government to end the reign of terror unleashed by the Boko Haram, saying militant sect lacked the capability to distabilise the nation.

The ACF stated this while reacting to some reports which it alleged misrepresented its the views it expressed on the activities of the Boko Haram sect at the end of a recent emergency meeting.

ACF National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Anthony Sani, in a statement made available to newsmen, said, “Following the last press conference by ACF through which the forum sought to address the hype in activities of Boko Haram and the allegations by some groups that there are plans to assassinate Mr President, there have been cascade of reports and commentaries in the media.

“Some reports are to the effect that ACF justifies the quit order by Boko Haram ,others reported ACF as saying Boko Haram is capable of disintegrating the country, while some others posit that the federal government does not possess the constitutional right to dialogue with Boko Haram.”

Sani expressed regret that most of the comments by some individuals and media establishments cast aspersion on the ACF and its efforts to ensure that sanity prevailed under the current worsening state of insecurity in Nigeria.
