Hennessy Artistry

The Hennessy Artistry is tagged ‘Like A Bottle’ and will see five Nigerian artistes come together to create a song titled ‘Like a Bottle’.

The artistes are Afro Juju crooner, Sir Shina Peters; Nigerian rapper, M.I.; soul-music singer, Nneka; lyricist, Iceprince; and alternative soul guitarist, Bez.

Produced by Kas, the ‘Like a Bottle’ track “likens every artiste’s goal of the ultimate performance to that of Hennessy cognac.”

The music video - the second part of the project, shot by Dragon Fly Productions, expresses the different styles of the artistes and is due for release on October 20.

Though a special edition ‘behind the scenes’ film has also been created, the third part of the project will bring ‘Like a Bottle’ experience to life with an exclusive Grand Finale Halo concert at GET Arena in Lagos, November 27.

Making its debut in 2007, Hennessy Artistry began with a contest between bartenders and followed in 2008 with that of DJs, then for 2009, a live music contest between five Nigerian urban-music artistes.

Tito Da. Fire, Harrysong, and Ego Omalicha join forces on ‘Graduation Day’

Nigerian singer, producer, and on-air personality, Tito Da Fire, has released a remix to his hit single ‘Graduation Day.’

Collaborating with Harrysong and Ego Omalicha, both under Questionmark Entertainment, Tito said, “Harrysong brought the energy on the track. Its incredible the track can sound this way. You know it’s fun to do a track and hear people react with excitement about it then you have a friend kick a sixteen(bars) that brings a fresh angle to it. I am listening to Ego and Harry on the track daily.”

Asa’s new video

Asa has released the video for ‘Be My Man’, a track of her yet-to-be released sophomore album titled, ‘Beautiful Imperfection’.

The video was shot in France and directed by Raphaël Frydman. The album will be released in Europe, October 25, and in Nigeria before the end of the year.

Omawumi drops new video

Omawumi has released a new video for Chocolata featuring Naeto C, which is off her ‘Wonder Woman’ debut album.

In the video, she plays Naeto C’s lover, tries to impress Naeto C’s character, who apparently is also into her. This is the 3rd video off her debut album ‘Wonder Woman’, which was released in 2009.

The video, which features a cameo by Waje, was shot in South Africa and Nigeria by

Bobby Boulders.
