THE leaders of the host community of the Federal University of Petroleum Resources, FUPRE, Ugbomro, Delta State, have advised President Goodluck and the Minister of Education not to succumb to any pressure to return Prof Alabi, outgoing Vice Chancellor of the university, in order not to throw the institution into crisis.

Chief Ambrose Tadefe Olugor, JP, the traditional ruler of the community, said that any attempt by the education minister or the Presidency to return Alabi would worsen the problem of the university.

Olugor alleged that the community was aware that some persons were pressuring government to recall the VC after running the university” for almost five years without anything to show for it.”
