Oceanic to integrate customers with Ecobank by 2012

Oceanic Bank, on Tuesday, said it would fully integrate its customers with Ecobank by the first quarter of 2012.

Oceanic Bank, on Tuesday, said it would fully integrate its customers with Ecobank by the first quarter of 2012.

This was contained in statement jointly signed by John Aboh, the Managing Director of Oceanic Bank, and Jibril Aku, the Managing Director, Ecobank Nigeria.

According to the statement, the full integration would allow customers to conduct teller transactions at over 230 locations of Ecobank Nigeria. When implemented, customers also would be allowed to use their Automated Teller Machine cards at Ecobank machines with no extra transaction charge.

The statement also said that all banking services like credit facility, standing orders, collection arrangements and international trade would be maintained subject to the usual terms and conditions.

Ecobank Transnational Incorporated (ETI), in October, completed 100 per cent acquisition of Oceanic Bank.
