Olive Emerges ‘Most Consistent’ MFB

Olive Microfinance Bank has emerged the 2012 most consistent microfinance institution in Lagos State.

The award which was presented recently during the 2012 Ikeja City Awards for Excellence Dinner, in Lagos, recognises micro financial institutions in Lagos that have recorded significant feat within their operating environments and continuously display innovation and record excellent financial performance year on year.

According to Mr. Sola Olugbemiro of Solkem Entertainment, the organiser of the award, Olive MFB’s receipt of the ‘Bank of the Year Award’ was an unprecedented feat which pays testimony to the bank’s position as a first class, profitable and focused micro finance institution.

Olugbemiro noted that after a survey of microfinance banks in Lagos, Olive MFB was seen as most consistent since the years it commenced operations.

Speaking on the award, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Olive MFB, Mr. Mr. Eniola Agbesoyin, ascribed it to  the bank’s well defined operating strategy, the passion and commitment of the employees and adherence to values that include hardwork, discipline, a passion for excellence and a service focused culture.

Agbesoyin noted the award was a further prove to show that the bank is being noticed and that Nigerian Public appreciate what it is doing within the last few years it began operations.

“Since we started operation, we have been focusing on empowering the poor and trying to provide the financial services required by the poor with the aim of alleviating the poverty level of Nigerian public especially in Lagos State. We are so happy that our efforts has been noticed, our efforts in alleviating poverty, our effort in empowering the people , our effort in ensuring that people get value added services in financial institution,” he said.
